Brooklyn-born Kenji makes R&B that feels lived-in. His music moves with a quiet intensity, blending warm, cinematic production with melodies that unfold slowly and stick with you.

Following his debut EP Between Heaven & Earth, Kenji continued to build his world with to see thru closed eyes, released this past November. The project leans further into his instinct for mood and feeling, with contributions from Christian Rich, Jack Dine, V-Ron, and Jayvidd, plus a feature from Nali. Together, they shape a sound that feels immersive without losing its intimacy.

Drawing from artists like D’Angelo (Voodoo), Erykah Badu (Mama’s Gun), and SZA (CTRL), Kenji explores love, distance, and the in-between moments with a light touch. There’s restraint in the way he approaches songwriting, letting space do as much work as the lyrics themselves.
